~Titanic~
In case you don't know, Titanic is based on a true story.
Titanic is a love story... a very romantic love story. It's about Jack (played
by Leonardo DiCaprio), a third class young man who won his ticket to go on the
Titanic in a poker game.
Rose (played by Kate Winslet) is a rich girl going to America, simply just to
go there. She's engaged, and she has everything a girl could want... but she's
not happy at all. She feels like her life is just party after party, and it's
getting boring for her. She tries to commit suicide by jumping off the back of
the ship, but Jack saves her.
After that, they keep seeing each other, and they fall in love. You'd have to
go see the movie to know all that happens. I can't write the story in here,
because it's so long... I'd have to write a book!
Anyways, when the ship starts to sink because they hit an iceberg, Jack is
locked in a room on the bottom of the ship. Rose finds him and gets him out,
and they try to get up to the top deck. They finally do, after some hold-ups,
and Rose gets to go on a life boat. Jack can't get on the life boat because
he's a third class male.
So Rose gets on a life boat, her fiance and Jack watching and waving.
But, as the boat gets lowered down into the water, and it's level with the
lower deck, Rose jumps back onto the ship because she doesn't want to leave
Jack!
They stay together, and, as the ship is bobbing in the water like a cork, the
front breaks off into the water, and it sinks all the way, hitting the bottom
of the ocean with a thud. The back of it is still floating there, until
finally, it starts sinking. Faster and faster... with Jack and Rose holding on
with all their might at the top of the ship and holding their breath as it
goes under all the way and pulls them down with it... they swim towards the
surface of the water, and they make it through that...
As they're waiting for the life boats to get back to save more people, they
are freezing. They have ice in their hair and being in the water isn't making
anything better.
Just to finish this up now, I'll say one thing: Leo dies (again!). How many
lives does he have?
Jenny J.'s Opinion:
If Titanic were to go my way, and if it wasn't an actual event, I would let
the ship get to America, and let Jack and Rose do all kinds of crazy stuff
together. But, even though it was very sad, it's the best movie I've seen in a long
time! It was so realistic, I thought I was there with them! It was awesome.
Summer D.'s Opinion:
If Titanic were to go my way, Leo would've married Rose, and he wouldn't have
died. Instead, Rose's fiance would've died!

My favorite band at the time is Hanson, but they're getting kind of old...
they need a new album. (no offense meant to anybody... just my opinion)
My favorite solo artist right now is Fiona Apple... for her music ONLY.
Since I play an instrument, I'll tell you a little about myself and my
instrument, a Technics KN 3000. It's really cool, and I love it!
I write songs, and I'm planning to record a demo tape this summer with my best
friend. We're going to be famous! (I hope so, at least!)

This month's artist is: (drumroll, please...)
ChRiSsY WiLlIaMs!
I don't know much about her personal life, but I do know that I absolutely LuV
her music! It's different than most other kinds of music... she has her own
style, and I like it! I don't think it's for everybody, though.
She recorded her debut not too long ago, and she paid for it herself. She said
it cost her about $6000! And there are only six songs on her CD. Here's the
songs on her CD, "Rescue Me":

It's really cool! She's probably not selling it nationwide yet, though. It'll

This month, we'll tell you our opinion on LeAnn Rimes.
Jenny J.'s Opinion:
I don't really like LeAnn. Sure, she has an amazing voice, and she has some
really nice music, but she needs to start writing her own songs and not
stealing other people's stuff. And she needs to sing with more feeling. And, I
know from a reliable source that LeAnn is a spoiled snob. That's what I think
of LeAnn Rimes.
Summer D.'s Opinion:
She's snobby, she's rude, she's inconsiderate, because when she won her first
Grammy award, she didn't go see her parents, and she hadn't seen them in a
long time. That's MY opinion on LeAnn Rimes.
- 1. You are just walking home in the rain from a party. A car pulls up beside
you, and you recognize it as your boyfriend's best friend's car. You walk up
to it, and he opens the door for you to get in. He says, "Hi, howya doin'?"
His words are slurred, and you can tell that he's drunk. What do you do?
- a) You get in. What could happen?
b) You say, "Scoot over," and get in on the driver's seat to drive for him. If
he gets hurt, you're boyfriend will dump you for sure, especially if he knows
that you knew his best friend was drunk!
c) You say, "No, thanks," and leave him alone. If he gets hurt, it's his own
fault.
- 2. You're in the school hallway trying to get your locker open when "HE" walks
up and opens it for you. Then, he slips you a note. It's an invitation to a
party where you know there'll be drugs and/or alcohol. Everybody that's
somebody in school will be going, and so will "HE". What do you do?
- a) Go. Just refuse the drugs/alcohol if someone offers it to you.
b) Tell "HIM" that you have plans made for that night already: dinner and a
movie. And ask if he wants to come over instead of going to that party.
c) Tell him that you'd LuV to go, then cancel at the last minute, and just
don't go.
- 3. You're at a party. Someone comes up to you and hands you a joint. Everyone
is watching, urging you to try it. You feel very uncomfortable. What do you
do?
- a) Take it and smoke it. What harm can one do?
b) Tell everyone that you don't do stuff like that, and leave.
c) Take it to the bathroom and flush it down the toilet, then leave without a
word or a glance to anyone.

Personally, I've never been there, except on the cover page, so I don't really
know what any of the stories are about. But, it was recommended to me, so I'm
expecting it to be good.
Try it for me, and e-mail us your opinions so we'll know if we should try it

I don't really have any opinions on this mag yet, so I can't really publish
